I have been looking for a Carrier attached to my KSR 2 for a long time.
OEM Carrier for KSR 2 and Carrier of Raflo are making holes in Rear cowl - - - Although I did not like it, I bought a cheap Carrier of Made in Thailand, but even though I bought it, it was distorted, the position of the hole was sloppy, and further, already around Rear (Fender and Blinker) As I replaced it, the installation Bracket struck Blinker and shifted Blinker (Redraw around Rear) Whether you are going to choose to process Bracket or not, and until then you have to use Bracket that seems to be problematic in strength - - - I could not install Carrier in doubt.
Basically, this Carrier of KIJIMA was a Carrier that can only be installed in the KSR PRO series since 2013, but it has the same structure & strength as the Multi Wing Carrier of DAYTONA which is used for ZEPHYR 750 and has a structure of trust , Including the attachability to the car body, at a glance "If you can only have this Carrier!" I made a preliminary examination for installation.
Looking at the difference between KSR PRO and KSR 2 after 2013, the mounting hole of the Bracket of the Seat part seems to be no problem, the difference is that the position of the hole of the Belt mounting part on the Rear side. It seems like a hole misalignment of just a few centimeters, so I felt that if I processed the Bracket position on the Carrier side, I seemed to manage it somehow, so I tried purchasing this Carrier with no good idea.
After all, because the Seat part was not wanting too much Cowl side Cut when installing this carrier, so that Cowl's Cut was set to the Smallest, I installed the Carrier attached bracket (welding) Then rebuild, the AssistBand part also looks for Pipe that fits the screw and aligns it to the car body (Because I did not want to pinch Cowl, Cowl part somewhat extended the hole and inserted Color) We welded to Carrier and finished it. (Incidentally, reinforced welding has been done since the Bracket of the installation Nut part of the Frame of the Band part seemed weak too)
Although my poor fecal welds were scraped cleanly and devastated by Black paint, they could safely be installed, there was no problem for actual use, easy to remove, easy to remove, excellent in design and excellent in strength (In order to use GIVICase, there is no need for Hook, it was enough to drill holes to install the Base) I am satisfied with this Carrier Large.
Still more KSR 1 - 2, and Owner who is riding the Large thing before 11013 before 11013 think that you can also see Owner, so I would like KIJIMA to consider selling this Carrier corresponding to that.
This rack fits great both with and without the kijima side bag racks. Much better than what OEM Honda offers in the American market. Less than a year after purchase and installation, the rust was terrible. The Plating on the car body is not rusty so I think it is a Plating quality issue. It's a pity because the shape is not bad. I'm currently using one from another Manufacturer that was painted in OEM colors by a paint shop.View Detail
The assist carrier feels like its a "stock" option of the z650rs, fits the bike perfectly. The paint on the metal is very similar to the frame of the motorcycle, though the welding can be improved, i notice some rough portions on the welded parts. Installing is easy and the diagram is clear.And to those who are wondering if the passenger will feel the metal on the side of the carrier, its not going to impede the sitting position of the passenger and can be used as grab rails, all in all, a good product.
